Choose a Tournament name - it will appear in the general tournament schedule.
Choose a Tournament URL if you want players to be in the same room during the Tournament. Keep in mind that players who have registered for your Tournament can play their games anywhere in VPchat.
Choose a start time and date. You can set up an unlimited number of Tournaments, and Tournaments may overlap, however only one Tournament can start at any given time. Make sure the time zone is set correctly on your computer. If the time zone on your computer is incorrect, you will be unable to schedule a tournament.
Decide whether you will manually start and stop rounds (this is the default) or have timed rounds. Timed rounds can be as short as 5 minutes or as long as 365 days. Timed rounds are great for speed games (play slow and you lose) or for ongoing Tournaments with players who may not be online at the same time as you.
Choose your Tournament type.
Decide on the maximum number of players you want. The minimum is 4, the maximum is 256. The Tournament system also allows for byes. If you set up a 16-player Tournament and only 13 people show up, the system will insert 3 byes and seed them correctly so you don't have to worry about a bye v. bye game. The number of byes cannot exceed one less than half the number of players. For example, if you have an 8-player Tournament, you may have a maximum of 3 byes. In a 16-player Tournament, the maximum number of byes would be 7.
Decide whether or not you want to charge an entry fee. The entry fee can be any number of Chits. Players will contribute the fee when they register for the Tournament.
Decide whether or not you want to "sweeten the pot." By default, the prize is the total of the entry fees collected. You may add any number of Chits to this total.
