Changing Name Status
You must be the primary account holder to change name
status. Click on the "Account Info" button at the top of the page.
Sign in. Select "Change name status" from the left column. You'll
see a list of all member names on the account, with options to lock, restrict,
and change the account owner.
- Locking a name prevents it
from being used, but keeps the name in our records. When a member tries to
use a locked name they will be unable to enter the community. When you unlock
a name, it's available for use again immediately.
- Restricting a name prevents
from being used to enter the Adult community. This is a great way to ensure
that kids participate in a safe community.
- Changing account status gives
account responsibility, but not payment responsibility, to a different
member name. Emails will still be sent to the address given at registration
(although you can change that email address).
Changing account status is the only way to change the account owner's member
name. To do this, add a name, change it's status to owner, then remove the
original name.
Once you've made changes, click "Apply
Changes" and a message will confirm that the changes have been made. All
changes are immediate.
