An automated filtering system has been installed for Virtual Places chat. If you have selected word filtering, the words on the master list will be replaced with ##### symbols.

It is entirely your discretion whether or not you use this feature. If you wish to turn word filtering on or off after signing on, you must exit and sign on again.

Whereas Virtual Places maintains a list of common "bad" words, people can always manipulate the context of common words to create offensive or off-color comments and phrases. Remember, if you run into offensive or annoying individuals, you can always use the Ignore feature to block their chat and avatar.
